Yzöwl Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 First of all you should not run any file without fully reading it and understanding the implications of doing so. Secondly you should always make a backup before changing the registry settings. If you didn't do either of the above the only easy fix you can implement is to perform a system restore or last known good configuration.a valuable lesson learned
rebrov Posted October 14, 2008 Author Posted October 14, 2008 hey bro i know all that and i know its my fault that i didn't backup my reg and didn't read it well be4 i start but i thought it all well and i already knew where's the mistake here the reg file changes the color quality from 32 bit to 16 bit but all i have to know now how can i change it from the reg file not from the system settings so plz can u help me to navigate this in registry and change it to default 32 bit ????
Yzöwl Posted October 14, 2008 Posted October 14, 2008 I don't know which file it is you've downloaded and installed. If you'd made it clear in your opening post that it was the file you wanted to change and not your system, it would have helped. If you'd supplied us with the information about the 32 bit colour instead of us guessing from you mentioning icons and an uploaded reduced quality graphic we'd have had a fighting chance at a solution.I'm not your bro!I would suggest that this problem is more than likely an issue with your display hardware settings and unrelated to the registry file you used. Are you using a Virtual Machine for this and or did you make any reference to the display settings in your winnt.sif?
