IcemanND Posted October 15, 2008 Posted October 15, 2008 Apparently you can't. I thought I remembered seeing this as an option.Word creates a new file on save by renaming the temp file and deleting the original. It's the way it's designed.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211632/?FR=1The autorecovery feature in Word can be something you're running into as wellhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/1076...FR=1#appliestoThe specified permissions are included inhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/277867/en-us?FR=1If your folders are on a network or mapped drive you may be able to use the setting in Word 2007 Advanced options (Alt, F, I, A) inthe Save subsection for[x] Copy remotely stored files onto your computer, and update the remote file when saving"
