My onboard sound has completely disappeared from my computer, sound, game controllers is not located in the device manger and its nothing coming back, i have reinstall windows98se, restarted, etc and its not coming back. But if i get the sound card working, it may appear, even tho my onboard sound seems to be wipe off my computer .

The answer was a definite no. I got a SB Live card from ebay cheap and it works great.On a different but related topic, if anyone is using SB Live on XP you can get the Audigy drivers to work with it.
