Spacetech Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 So I'm trying to install windows 98 on the second hard drive in my pc, It's 80gb. I have a windows 98 disc and I boot from it so I get to the A:\ Screen. I ran "FORMAT /S C:" and it worked fine. After that I ran SETUP but scan disk was saying how the hard drive is invalid or something weird. It wants to scan the hard drive for errors so I hit ok, but once it starts the surface scan it will take a very long time since it's an 80gb hard drive, about 3 hours. Is there any way to stop scan disk from doing this? Also I'm running windows xp as my main os. Hopefully I explained this well
