Query RE; slipstreamed AHCI/RAID drivers

Hi all

I'm going to be re-installing my OS soon and am planning on using a pre-configured nLite/SP3 installation that can be found

here:

(Be warned, this thread is very long!)

The thread has pretty much dried up now, so I thought I would post a query here. The guy has incorporated all the common AHCI and RAID drivers into the install...but I plan to set up my SATA drives as emulated IDE drives, as i have not love for AHCI/RAID at the moment. So will this cause any problems? Because the drivers have been incorporated with nLite, will they automatically install the AHCI/RAID drivers? Or will it depend how the HDs are set up in the BIOS?

Let me know if anymore info is needed. My mobo is an Intel DP35DP.

Cheers

Max

I dont' know this for sure since I haven't tried it myself (I'm happy integrating my SATA drivers and they work perfectly). However, I am convinced that the BIOS overrides any installed SATA drivers. If the SATA drivers were needed or "wanted" you wouldn't be able to install XP without them. And that you are.
