fanem008 Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) Hy guys!how do i have to edit a windows xp sp2 to be able to install in on a sata hard disk ? Edited February 2, 2009 by fanem008
Kelsenellenelvian Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Only if you have the proper SATA drivers for XP that go with the laptop.
TranceEnergy Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Look for a option called "Native" Ide mode in your computer bios. OR something like "disable ahci". Which can be the same thing, it should be i mean.Performance wise there's little difference, actually native mode is faster then the alternative in many cases. Why?Because you won't need any specific drivers to be able to run with your sata drive.
RUSerious Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 If laptop is already set up with the driver you want, then useSmartDriverBackup201.zip http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...mp;#entry134279to generate a folder with your drivers. Then point nLite to that folder to load multiple drivers.
RUSerious Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 (edited) Version 2.01 (which worked great for me) was the latest in this thread:http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?act...=21&t=19744But I now see there is another thread with more recent versions. http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?act...=21&t=20555Hope this is the latest version:Download Smart Driver Backup 2.11 here:http://www.sendspace.com/file/2mbuwuhttp://rapidshare.com/files/87015208/Smart...up2.11.zip.htmlNote: Edit the URL if you get a redirect issue (remove "http://redirect.php/?url=" ) Edited September 28, 2008 by RUSerious
