September 24, 200817 yr Don't kow why .chm files don't open now, giving a message: Cannot open the file:mk@MSITSTORE:.....(here the adress of any .chm file).Never had problems with it. hh.exe is correctly configured. Everything else is OK.Any idea about what might have happened? Thank you in advance.
September 24, 200817 yr well whats a .chm file lolwell try opening it with the program u uselly open it with e.g open .bmp with paint and then right click on a .chm file and go to open with.. find the program and click open

September 24, 200817 yr Have a look at the version numbers of both hhctrl.ocx and itss.dll, they should be pretty close. When different or unsure, get your installation CD from the drawer and perform a search for both files, extract them from the cabinets and compare version numbers against the installed ones. On my Win98SE they are both 5.2.3644.0.If on XP (not sure about other OS versions), some manually replaced system files might get automatically overwritten by restored versions from the dllcache folder inside Windows, so you might wanna replace those first.Also, don't forget to register both of them (regsvr32 %system%\<filename.ext> ).
