Start Menu registry/Reinstall issue...oops

Recommended Posts

after quite a few tries and more CD coasters than i care to count, i finally created the perfect automated install with drivers for my machines. well, almost perfect. after a few days and after i had reinstalled all my software and backups, i realized what "My Computer" menu in the start menu looked like

problemaw1.th.jpgthpix.gif

now that is just not right. i guess in the last stage of nlite i check a few too many boxes. my question is if there is some sort of registry edit to remove all of those shortcuts? i only want my drives in "My Computer" menu.

Thanks for Your time,

FarmCretin

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace]

Beware, your computer may blow up and I'm not responsible... :angel

Just review manually if you're not sure.

FarmCretin,

Interesting looking theme. Where can I find it?

Thanks, John.

Edit: I would also like to know how to get the devices to appear in the My Computer context menu. I have searched to exhaustion.

Thanks again, John.

I think it is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER... (the rest is the same). Also the option can be (un)checked in Folder Options.
