eXtremeDX Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 I'm dual booting my old Pentium II-based PC with XP SP2 and 98SE, but I have another PC with XP SP2 and sometimes it's boring to go computer by computer for configs and stuff.I want to remotely control my 98SE system via LAN connection, but XP's system wont work with it, obviously. Can U pleaz help me?thanks
awergh Posted September 3, 2008 Posted September 3, 2008 you could use VNC, which allows you to take control of 9x/NTx PCs, you just need to choose either RealVNC, TightVNC, or UltraVNC
eXtremeDX Posted September 3, 2008 Author Posted September 3, 2008 ahhhh, OK, where can i get it? I don't know anything about this program, not even what does VNC stands for Nice avatar /post
awergh Posted September 4, 2008 Posted September 4, 2008 Virtual Network Computing (VNC)Ultra VNChttp://waix.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge...5_Setup_W32.exe
eXtremeDX Posted September 9, 2008 Author Posted September 9, 2008 aaahhhh, ok, thanks a lot, i see it's not free anymore but i give my ways.I got RealVNC 4thanks again, later.
PC_LOAD_LETTER Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 http://www.teamviewer.com/ -not what you are looking for but is a lot more like 'remote assistance' than *VNC (VNC would be more like Remote Desktop)
Steven W Posted September 10, 2008 Posted September 10, 2008 I'm not absolutely certain this would be of any help to you:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...rdclientdl.mspx
