jn5519
I have a brand new Dell Notebook which came with Vista Home Basic SP1. I tried to upgrade it to Vista Ultimate but it would not give me the upgrade Option. Thinking that the ultimate DVD does not contain SP1 I went ahead and created a slipstreamed DVD with SP1. Again I tried the upgrad and again I'm not given the option. Anyone has any ideas?Juan Navarrete

Richard Arkless
1.boot up vista2.put in vista ultimate disk3.a window should popup with the insall button in the center4. Click install and the upgrade button should be there above the clean install
jn5519
Thanks for your response. That is exactly what I've tried, but the upgrade option comes up greyed out and therefore not chooseable
