August 25, 200818 yr Answer: You should never have 2 devices on the same network segment with the same IP (at the same time).i believe if you ping an IP address, then do an arp command, you should be able to get the name resolution for that address Edited August 25, 200818 yr by rendrag
September 16, 200817 yr well as rendrag said...never have 2 computers on the same network segment at the same...time...you will have problems...ip conflict and you won't feel so happy. but with the client question...any computer can be a client..eg when the network is peer-to-peer then both pcs are clients and servers if not then i hope you know the one that accesses resources on the other pc is the client.
