jm2 Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 hi! am trying to reload a Dell PE1800 server that has a CERC SATA drive controller requiring additional drivers to be loaded during SBS 2003 install.the machine will recognize my USB "A" fdd after "F6", but not during the later install. so, am trying to use nLite to slipstream an install CD combining the 1st SBS 2003 install CD + the added drivers. the machine posts, and starts to load, but when you get to where the machine boots the (nLite created) CD, you get "NTLDR is missing" - which I presume means that nLite isn't adding the right BOOT Sector info. (i was told that it would automatically provide the right BOOT files???) how do i get the right BOOT files onto the new CD? your good ideas are appreciated in advance.... thanks! - jm2
Ponch Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 If your source cd boots and you copied all files to start with, the result cd should boot as well. Have you removed the "press any key" message or are you at least sure you boot from cd ?
