anyone try booting windows ME from dos 7.x?

I wonder if its possible? Or try booting windows 98 with dos 8.0?

Why would you want to? 9x and ME are somewhat incompatible in that respect. I suppose it's possible (?) but I've never tried. More sensible to simply use 9x DOS with 9x and ME DOS with ME (there's a way to do that with a patch). ME doesn't like you fiddling with AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS; it tends to "strip" what it doesn't like...
