I'm new here at this site, but I looked around a little to see if I could find an answer to the problem I'm having, so I'm hoping someone here can give me some help/answers because I'm not all that computer smart. I have been trying to get my windows updates downloaded and for some reason there's always 6 or 7 that fail to get downloaded-its like the downloading part gets stuck, and I know that my laptop would run better if I could get all of my Windows updates downloaded and on my pc, the way its suppose to, so I started looking around the internet and found the web site that had the "Windows updates downloader", so I read the page and went ahead downloaded the "updater", so now I've got that done but I just could not get it my head how to get my updates that I need to download into the "update list"into the download folder(if that's correct, hect, I don't know), I did go ahead and downloaded the Vista update downloader v1.6, but I still have no idea how to go about using the Vista updater helper so I can get the rest of my updates downloaded. Can some one here offer me some help, I would so appreciate it. And can some one tell me why the updates are not downloading as they should? I swear its like something is stuck. I don't know, as I said I am not that computer smart so I'm just hoping some one here that has more knowledge than I do can help.....please.....strokelady

Out of all sections, you come to vLite?... Anyways I'd suggest you download Service Pack 1 for x86 (32-bit) or for x64 (64-bit) and see if that helps. I know it may be a bit big. But it got all updates to April 18~ or so and I'm sure that the rest of your updates can be downloaded (thou not all are needed)

Most updates like Monthly updates often patches older hotfixes which may be why your updates fail to download. Vista detects that these updates are not needed and simply stops the download process. It may also be of other various reasons such as server connection failure

But try the SP1 pack and tell em how it went. You can always uninstall it if needed
