WLAN support missing after slipstreaming of SP1

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

My OS is Vista Ultimate SP1 x64, running on lenovo ThinkPad T61.

The issue I encountered is I have Dell Vista Ultimate x86. After the slipstreaming of SP1, the WLAN support is simply missing.

I was not aware of this until I installed it on my wife's Latitude D420.

The wireless LAN did not work, so I traced my steps back and found this issue.

Am I the only one or anyone else had this bug?

TIA

Tried again with 1.2 RC. Same result!

yup me also, i also tried just slipstreaming sp1 only and leaving all other options intact and still wlan support seems to fail...must be a bug?

Not only that, also Bluetooth support seems to be out the door.

It seems to have something to do with either one of these:

Windows\System32\ndfapi.dll

Windows\System32\cscapi.dll

Windows\System32\QUTIL.dll

can anyone supply me the first two dll files from an up to date Windows Vista x64 install?

Thanks in advance.

In addition, the system seems to miss dependent dll files

( found that out by using the free http://www.dependencywalker.com/ ) :

inetcomm.dll

linkinfo.dll

regapi.dll

Next time I'll think twice about using vlite for my main install, I guess.

If anyone can supply me those 3 dll files as well, that would be perfect.
