modusmongo Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 hi folks, i'd like to create a bare bones install for my recording studio. winxp sp2. no internet, no windows sound, no indexing, minimum system ram usage, no restore, etc.i searched for "digital audio workstation"and "DAW"but didn't find anything. has anyone done this? i'd take any advice you have to offer.i'll be running nuendo 3 with several native instruments samplers. the i/o is a presonus firestudio tube (firewire). i'll need usb 2.0 support for an external hd.i've partitioned my c: drive into 2 partitions. one has vista on it, and i'd like to make that partition invisible when i boot to XP (on the other partition).hardware:gigabyte ep35-ds4 motherboardintel quad 66002 G ocz ramradeon hd-3450 vid card (which i'd like to keep from using system ram)any help GREATLY appreciated!peter
