nLite install for digital audio workstation

Recommended Posts

hi folks, i'd like to create a bare bones install for my recording studio. winxp sp2. no internet, no windows sound, no indexing, minimum system ram usage, no restore, etc.

i searched for "digital audio workstation"and "DAW"but didn't find anything. has anyone done this? i'd take any advice you have to offer.

i'll be running nuendo 3 with several native instruments samplers. the i/o is a presonus firestudio tube (firewire). i'll need usb 2.0 support for an external hd.

i've partitioned my c: drive into 2 partitions. one has vista on it, and i'd like to make that partition invisible when i boot to XP (on the other partition).

hardware:

gigabyte ep35-ds4 motherboard

intel quad 6600

2 G ocz ram

radeon hd-3450 vid card (which i'd like to keep from using system ram)

any help GREATLY appreciated!

About the nLite aspect:

Read all sections on nLite homepage, start working with it, create your test installation and post Last Session.ini and/or questions about individual components (which you can also search in the forum).

It's hard work!
