Merging driver cabs and Found New Hardware prompt

I've noticed that if I merge driver cabs that an install of Windows XP afterwards always prompts when I plug-in a standard usb key drive.

I can click through and it loads just fine. On a non nLine install of XP I'm never prompted to install drivers, it just automatically does so.

I did disable the Internet driver download prompt, but I still get the new hardware prompt the first time I plug in a usb key never seen before.

Just kind of annoying. I'll have to try not merging cabs to see if that fixes it.

Anyone else seen this?

No, and i think i have tweaked a bit more then you =) Seriously, just unpack both cabs and do a file comparison, search any files containing usb might be a good start and go from there.
