Laser Mouse - Power Management?

im not sure if i used the term correctly "power managemet - disabled" but...

i have a laser mouse, and im a gamer.

and snipe in fps

sometimes if i dont move my mouse in 10 sec's or so it will dim the laser down and go into a momentary "sleep" mode until a movement or click is detected.

is there anyway to turn this off? reason why is if it goes into its "sleep" mode i have to shake the mouse first before i can move it (shake as in move it a bit on the table etc.)

any ideas on turning this off or is that built into the mouse?

thanks!

it may be accessible via the mouse's configuration utility. If it's not available there, then it's a function that's either built into the mouse and you won't be able to touch it ever, or it's just a setting that the manufacturer doesn't want you to tinker with, but may be made accessible in the future via software update.
