philips08
Question, On avg 8.0 in the advanced settings under scans there’s a box with writing on the side that says “scan infectable files only” does that mean it will only scan infectable files and not the rest of the computer or the rest of the files? Can someone explain to me what that means “scan infectable files only” and what would it do if it happens that I check that box. Question, On AVG 8.0 in the advanced settings under scans what does it mean when it says “use heurictics” and is it a good thing? Thanks, philips
CoffeeFiend
It should work exactly as it implies, only scanning files that can be infected (.exe, .dll, etc), and not others (like .mp3 .avi and such)Not that I use AVGheurictics usually finds more viruses (on any AV), but it also means a LOT more false positives (and AVG is already bad enough at that!)
