andydrew126 Posted June 17, 2008 Posted June 17, 2008 Can someone please help me. Every time I try booting from a cd it acts like it is gonna work but only shows a hyphen that blinks and nothing else. Once in a while though it will say "boot from cd-code 0" I tried clicking f12 and going to boot from cd-rom but even when i do that it shows the hyphen blinking at the top right of the screen, or "boot from cd-code 0"specs:OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home PremiumVersion 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001Other OS Description: Not AvailableOS Manufacturer: Microsoft CorporationSystem Name: ANDREW-PCSystem Manufacturer: ACERSystem Model: Aspire M5630System Type: X86-based PCProcessor: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU E4500 @ 2.20GHz, 2200 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. Tripredacus Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 What CDs have you tried booting from? Can you boot from your Windows CD?Typically, the inability to boot is a hardware problem.
