undecided
i am trying to slipstream my board's ICH8R drivers. I tell XP to skip the missing files but then it says "D:\i386\asms" "access denied".So, I had Vista Home Edition on my Abit MB with ICH8R - Raid Enabled.I got fed up with Vista and wanted to go back to my MSDN XP SP2. I used nLite to slipstream all the Abit drivers into the XP SP2 image ( I did not make any other changes). I burned this to a new CD.Booted onto this CD and started installing over the existing Vista install without reformatting my Raid array. The file copy burped a few times on some .xml and some .xsd files. I recreated and burned the image 2 more times and it still said that a few .xml and .xsd files were not found. I told it to skip those files.Eventually, it rebooted into XP. As the installation was starting, it gave me the error from above:"D:\i386\asms" "access denied".and aborted. Tried it a few times. Got the same error each time. Edited June 3, 2008 by undecided
