ok, i just have a few quick questions...yes, i've been here: http://www.nliteos.com/faq.html

1) when i install nlite "addons", do the addons just automatically install with windows or do any configuration screens show up? for example, let's say i want to slipstream office 2003, but i only want to install word & outlook. does nlite more or less just add a sequence of setup files that automatically launch (giving you the option to go through the regular install procedure) or are the "nlite addon packs" geared towards unattended installations, i.e. am i going to end up with excel and powerpoint too? i would have a similar issue with winamp....i want to slipstream winamp, but it' a very old version of winamp and i want to turn everything except mp3 support off.....

2) if the addon installs are indeed silent, is there a way to modify the way that they behave?

3) there are a few installations - such as office and winamp - that i can't find nlite packages for, office for obvious reasons and winamp for less obvious reasons. however, i have found a "create your own nlite addon package" program from virtualtek. considering the power of what it should do, i'm a little surprised that i basically can't find any information on the web about this except for a handful of people wondering whether or not the install has a trojan. can anybody verify whether or not this thing: http://www.msfn.org/board/Add-On-Maker-for...-06-t73008.html actually has a trojan attached to it? virustotal came up pretty clean (sophos and ikarus didn't like it, nobody else caught anything), but it's pulling up a credit card trojan, which is not your usual surfing habits tracker....it seems lke a FP, but does anybody else use this program? noticed any cash missing?

ok, by inspecting the cabs i downloaded i think i get the idea......i don't see any need for the program at this pont, so it doesn't matter if it's malware or not. there should be switches out there for most programs. so, i've just answered my own question :)
