Hello.

I tried installing nlite on a computer that just had its OS installed.

nlite tells me that I need Dotnetfx installed in order to function properly, so I download Dotnetfx and try to install it, only it doesn't install just telling me that the following error occured during setup: The installation package or a needed file could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it. I JUST DOWNLOADED THE F***** THING FROM MS!!! I went home to my computer which has no Internet connection and tried it there... it doesn't work there either. I came back to work and read the information about Dotnetfx and found out that it needs internet explorer 5.01 or higher which I didn't have on my PC. So, I get IE 6.0 installed on my computer at work and the thing still doesn't work. I thought maybe it has something to do with the extreme firewall that I have on my PC at work and decided to take Internet Explorer 6.0 and dotnetfx along with nlite to my PC at home.

Installing Internet Explorer on a PC with no internet connection seems to be something that only insiders know how to do. I searched the internet for information and found out how to download the files using the ie6setup.exe /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d:1 /s:""#E" parameter, but then I drove all the way home with the files on my USB stick, tried to install using the downloaded setup file and guess what... the :realmad: thing tells me that it can't download the components. GREAT JOB MS!!!!

I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me how to install these files on my browser that has NO internet connection.

Thanks guys but it hasn't helped yet... I've been busy with other stuff.

My W2K has all the latest service packs installed.

I have no idea why it's not working right now.

I've downloaded Ryan's version, I've also downloaded any other versions of 2.0 that I could find but well... no chance...

Since nothing worked, I decided to write my own RunOnceEx.cmd since nLite wouldn't install, because I need an install routine and can't wait until someone comes up with some bright idea why Net Framework won't install on my PC.
