Setup did not find any hard disk drivers...

Hi,

I am a newbie in this forum and a new user of nLite too. Few days ago I bought a laptop with Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile Processor i965, a Toshiba HD (MK32522GSX - (S1) ) of 320 Gb, NVIDIA Graphics card of 512Mb and without O.S.

I am trying to install Windows XP SP2 but within the process it shows the next message: "Setup did not find any hard disk drivers installed in you computer..." and I can't continue.

I've search for information and I've read that I should use a program called nLite and burn a CD with the drivers I need and the WXP ISO, but I have a problem because I don't know which are the drivers I need (I have downloaded many drivers from Intel but I don't know which is the correct) and how to use nLite with it, because it needs a .inf file and I have .exe or others...

Can anybody guide me a little, please?

Thanks for your attention!

1. Post your notebook model number.

2. Go into the BIOS and try setting the Drive Configuration to IDE instead of AHCI, if it has this option that is. Some notebooks come with AHCI as the default controller type and without the driver disk, XP won't see the HDD. However if you change it to IDE, you won't be able to switch it to AHCI later. I am not familiar with the differences in those controller methods so I can't tell you that.
