Thanks Kells, I have found some reviews on ecc vs non-ecc ram and decided to sell the ecc and get some money back from building my new rig and buying my new R1

ECC won't do you any good for that motherboard anyway. Most desktop motherboard chipsets don't support ECC as it's only intended for high-end workstations and servers (most high-end workstations end up using server chipsets). ECC is a feature you generally don't want to be without in a server environment.
