cumminbk Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) I created a spreadsheet for my new computer specifications. it will calculate the shipping minus the rebates and so on for the entire system so you get an idea of what your spending. it will also properly calculate if you buy more that one of a particular item like 2 video cards or 3 hard drives. Provides a good layout of your general system specs. I created it in office excel 2007 so i am not sure how it will look in older versions of office but let me know what you think and if you find this useful.ps. it currently has the new system specs in it that i am consideringNew_PC_Spreadsheet.rar Edited May 12, 2008 by cumminbk
rendrag Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I like the spreadsheet. I'll definitely use it to spec out my next system. One addition you might want to look at is have some data validation occur on the component and have a drop-down of components. That way if someone has 2 different sized hard drives, or 2 optical drives, or they don't have a particular product (separate CPU fan for example), they could replace it with something else, or not use it at all.Other than that, it's a dynamite sheet.
Maleko Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 nice mate, i always use spreadsheets wen calculating things like this.
