Setup worked but there's no Internet connection

Which nLite XP install items must remain in the profile for as easy an Internet connection setup as will a full install?

I installed my first nLite XP- SP3 setup with IE7 and WMP11 and it went very well. Yet while my 1394 Connection is enabled in the final isntall, when I run the Network Conneciton Wizard, although it runs though the entire process, if fails to create a new network connection. I nLite option for DHCP was enabled as well as most everything else that's related to networking. The install isn't picking up my active cable connection.

Update 1: I checked my install profile and all of the network related options were untouched, left in default install settings in the components section. I noticed that the IIS serivce was grey, but I don't know if this part matters.

Update 2: I installed this ISO as a virtual machine in my VirtualBox setup on Ubuntu and the Internet connections works no problem.

You only work with the wizard? Try doing it manually?

I'll try to manually setup the network connection drivers, but isn't the point of nLite to automate these things? (With a regular XP install I haven't found it necessary to manually configure the Internet connection.)

nlite are only doing what you are give in!

nlite dont manage every thing automatical.

...and you dont tell what your are doing with nlite either how you fix it manually.

So i can not give any tips...

My intent was to create a generic nLite install disk for any computer, with a modest level of "do not install" items... (which has resulted in a fast, 2.65 gig final install However, my first test install was on a machine with it's own manufacturers install disks which I now realize must contain various drivers specific to this machine, which are not in my nLite profile, which I created from a retail XP upgrade cd, so I must add those specific drivers manually. Got it!

My first inclination is to go to the manufacturer's download area for this machine and download the full driver set from there, save them to a disk, and install manually...
