Help: Using nLite on an HP OEM version of Windows XP (How to)

I have an HP Pavilion 514n with a 202Ghz Celeron processor, 512MBs of RAM and a 60GIG HDD running an OEM version of Windows XP which came with the machine. The HDD is partitioned with a 5GIG "Recovery" Fat piece which is locked. I can certainly restore to factory specifications either by doing a restore from the locked "Recovery" partition or, worse yet, wading through 8 CDs to restore the Op Sys along with a lot of crap which I subsequently have to discard. I attempted to follow instructions I found on the web some time ago in order to create a slipstreamed (e.g. drivers included) single CD which I could use for restores. I tested it in a virtual machine and it worked ok. When I attempted to use it on the machine none of the necessary drivers were included with the CD. So I obviously did something wrong.

Then I stumbled across nLite on the web. Wow! If this works, fabulous. But how do I use it on my OEM version of Windows XP?

Thanks.
