"High" Priority:

IE7

KB890830

optional has Root certificates Update, WMP11, .net 2.0 (KB829019), .net 1.1, and messenger 4.7

I knew IE7 and WMP11 were not in SP3 but if i had known KB890830 wasnt in there i would have included it when i slipped SP3. figured id post so anyone else running a SP3 ISO tonite could slip it on their first run.

Well to be honest, I'm glad MRT isn't there. I never download it, it serves no purpose whatsoever to me, it's only really a standalone tool and it is updated every month anyway.

You can install .NET framework 3.5 directly instead of framework 2.0 (it includes all patch and hotfix for framework 2.0 and 3.0 + the 3.5 version)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...31-508d977d32a6

or full version: http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/0.../dotnetfx35.exe

I noted other hotfix/patch to install with fresh Windows XP SP3:

- windowsupdateagent30-x86 (7.0.6000.381)

- KB942763 (daylight saving time updated on 4/21/2008)

- KB941569 for WMP 9, 10, or 11 (security bulletin MS07-068)

- KB942423 to play VC1 file (codec)

- KB947864 for IE6 or IE7 (security bulletin MS08-024)

  • 1 month later...

the title says post-sp3 update list 7 so far but where is the list? where are the links to the updates?
