Wine_Spirit
Hi,so I was trying to make a vLited Vista x64, but when I get the usual Dependencies window at the first start, the File System File Manager won't install and tells me to:"Download and Install Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 and restart your computer and vLite" http://i28.tinypic.com/ape6j5.jpg <-- Screen shot. Uh OK... too bad I'm running Windows XP x64 eheh and the File System Filter should already be installed. So, basically that prevents me from using vLite. WIM filter is greyed out. Any way to circumvent that error? Edited April 29, 2008 by Wine_Spirit
nuhi
Yeah fixed that bogus Win2k warning in the next version but Filter Manager detection should not be broken.Check with the Explorer your c:\windows\system32\drivers\fltMgr.sys, is it there? Wine_Spirit
Nope, it isn't there. I must have removed the component by mistake cause I never do. Thanks for telling me the file, gonna grab it from the CD if possible.Wanted to try Server 2008 but I see vLite is not fully compatible yet, any idea when a compatible version will be out? (just so to know so maybe I wait for it if it's not long thanks) Edited May 1, 2008 by Wine_Spirit
nuhi
Well it's not just that file.Try installing a hotfix related to filter manager for your Windows, more info in this topic:http://www.msfn.org/board/Mounting-Error-t116506.htmlNo plans for component removal for 2k8.
