masterj Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Ok, I've tried to find information about how to change windows theme during GUI part of windows setup. As I see, it doesn't start Themes service and thus making it impossible to change default "No theme" or "Classic" during GUI part of setup. Any way to enable it and use custom theme (like Royale) during installation?
mara- Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Using nLite, on Options page, tab "Patches", activate Uxtheme Patch. Also, in Unattended page of nLite, tab "Desktop themes", choose theme which you want to add, and which you want to be activated (under "Default theme").Cheers
masterj Posted April 28, 2008 Author Posted April 28, 2008 Ant this theme will be active during gui setup part?
masterj Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 I already did this manually via DefaultCustomTheme in winnt.sif I need this theme to be activated before gui installation
Geej Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I'm facing similiar problem using HFSLIP.If I set my custom theme in user-attended mode, my theme work at 1st logon.I recently use WINNT.SIF to apply the same theme but is unsuccessfully. While the wallpaper is applied, the start menu etc is reverted to Classic theme. My WINNT.SIF entries:[shell]CustomDefaultThemeFile = "%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\Midnight Blue.theme"I have patched Uxtheme.dll Any clues?
