[Help] Vista Media Center transparent Closed Caption?

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I was wondering, when I had XP MCE installed on my PC it had nice transparent Closed Caption (the black bar part) and I really liked it this way. Now I have Vista installed on the same PC I no longer have the transparent background, I have the old style solid black bar like on my regular TV

I was wondering if anybody knew of a reg tweak or something to enable this?

Here are my spcecs

MoBo - Asus A8N-SLI Premium (nVIDIA nForce4 SLI, AMD Hammer)

CPU - AMD Athlon 64, 2200 MHz (11 x 200) 3700+ (Socket 939)

RAM - 512 MB 400MHz (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)

GFX - NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCacheā„¢ (PCI Express 256 MB)

Isn't Vista supposed to be the "Aero" OS?

double check the Windows Experience rating and verify that Aero is enabled in Windows Color and appearence (right click on the desktop and choose personalize)
