dubsdj Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 Hi I have an issue with Vista and the sleep feature.Whenever I put the PC to sleep the screen switches off and everything but the actual PSU is still running at full speed. Anybody know what I can do to fix that?
Tripredacus Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 THat thar sounds like Hybernate instead of sleep. How are you putting it in that mode? Are you clicking the red button, or try clicking the arrow next to it and choose sleep instead. It might say Suspend... I forget the term it uses.
spacesurfer Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 it might be your graphics card driver. update your driver and see if it works. this is the solution provided my ms (i don't recall where). it's worked for me.also, see if it's your usb keyboard or mouse. disable them being able to wake computer from sleep - that has fixed the proble also.
dubsdj Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 Many thanks, it was to do with the wake on event in the bios
