SP1 Installation On every Restart problem

Hello guys,

Im having a problem with Vista SP1 installation. I made a "clean" install with my computer recovery CD. after doing all of the normal updates i began the installation of SP1 which seems to have installed correctly however now every time i restart the computer i still get the screen that says that update part 2 is installing and then after restart there is the installation of part 3 and afterward my Outlook pst folder is disconnected from the Outlook program.

BTW: I'm running Vista Home Premium x86 on an Asus G1S if that help any.

How did you install SP1?

This was the reason they postponed the SP release before. Looks like you're hitting the bug anyway.

Only sure-fire way is to do a repair install from the original media (choose a restore point prior to the hotfix install) and install all prerequisite patches before trying SP1 (and reboot inbetween too!).
