ceez
Hello msfn-ers!I have a question, we have two 33gig scsi drives that are mirroed with data.there are two options in disk management when I right click on either of the dynamic 33gig drives:Remove Mirror&Break Mirrored VolumeWhat is the difference? I do not want to delete the data on EITHER of the drives, I just want to be able to detach the mirror and LATER wipe out the data from one of the mirrored drives.what's the best way to go about this?As always, thanks for your help, ceez
cluberti
Use break mirrored volume - remove mirror is destructive, whereas break simply makes these drives two separate (identical data) volumes.See the Microsoft article on this exact situation.
