USB keyboard/mouse not responding when Internet is down suddenly

Donno if everybody having this problem, my wireless keyboard and mouse do not respond when the internet goes of in the middle, i will have to restart the PC. Am running windows Vista 32-bit with sp1, any help appreciated

Are you using wireless internet? Specifically 802.11b? They use the same freq as your keyboard and mouse. That is my first idea.

its a normal DSL connection with a wired modem, this happens when there is a power down and my internet connection is lost, with my PC running in UPS.

wireless receiver USB hub is hooked on to the PC thatz it, no other power supply for the keyboard/mouse

Does the UPS have software installed on the computer? Does the computer know when it is running off the UPS? Maybe it enables a different power scheme.

No UPS related software is installed, only when i am losing power am having this problem becos the modem goes off for a minute and then recovers with the UPS power but then the internet is lost and i start getting this problem
