Cannot copy netfx: The parameter is incorrect

Hi, I'm very new to vLite so hopefully I'm not asking anything too obvious.

At the very start of vLite when I specify the installation files (this is a daemon tools mounted drive of my .iso file) and then the destination, it copies some files and then delivers a dialog box which says "Cannot copy netfx, the parameter is incorrect.", followed by another one "Not all files were copied, aborting."

I checked the virtual cd drive and there is an x:\upgrade\netfx folder with these files

  • netfx1.cab
  • netfx.msi
  • netfx.msp
  • netfxupdate.exe

But I'm not sure where to go from here.

If its an ISO, using a program like WinRAR (free) and extract the iso and then worked from the extracted folder, it will also tell you if any of your files are corrupt.

Hm, unexpected.

Try manually copying with Explorer from that virtual drive to any new folder and then browse with vLite to that new folder, that will skip the vLite copying files, also you will see if maybe image is corrupted.

thanks nuhi, this did it

strangely enough WinRAR says the archive is corrupt but daemontools can read it fine. I downloaded the .iso again just incase and it had the same checksum so it wasn't a corrupt copy (unless my MSDNAA provider is giving me one)
