This is on a fresh install. It takes maybe 10 minutes to load past "Getting ready to run Windows for the first time" screen

Would there be some options in the BIOS I may want to turn off, that would be confusing Windows 98? I've already turned off my SATA controllers, because I don't even use them. Everything else is pretty much default

Thanks in advance for your help

I'm not expert in Win98 and I used it very short. But Win98 has limit with 2GB of RAM. Also, there is some bug which cause problems when you have more then 512 RAM. So that might be your problem. I think that solution exist, but you'll have to find it yourself on this forum.

Cheers ;)

My mistake. I copied those specs from another forum's signature. I have removed all but 1GB of RAM

I know an install with 1GB of RAM will work fine, as I've done it, and it's running fine
