tal ormanda
A long time ago I split my local disk into two and now I reinstalled XP on here and I deleted the partition to be left with 22.51GB of unallocated space. How can I go about combining them with the main volume?
IcemanND
you can get software to combine partitions like partition magic. you could use an imaging tool like ghost and back up the disk to an image repartition and then restore to the expanded partition. Access Denied
With XP, you will need a 3rd party application. I used Norton Partition Magic when I did that last. I would check with other opinions on software to use these days. I don't need software to do it anymore.
tal ormanda
As long as it won't ruin the volume, I will use partition magic then. What a shame that you can't do this just using administrative tools. Edited March 20, 2008 by tal ormanda
