nickzat Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, although I did a search and couldn't find anything specific to my needs. It's possible too, that I just don't know enough of the terminology to do a good search.Referring to the attached diagram, I would like to use an SSH client such as Putty or WinSCP, running on WindowsPC2 which is on LAN-2, to connect to a Linux PC (LinuxPC1) on another LAN (LAN-1). I do have a Windows PC (WindowsPC1) that connects to both LANs. Can I use something like FreeProxy on WindowsPC1 to accomplish this? If so, what settings to use for both FreeProxy and Putty/WinSCP? Thank you. PS: LinuxPC1 has a non-routable IP, ie, is not visible from the Internet.
tain Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 First thing is to get basic connectivity between the subnets. Do you have that? Can those two machines ping each other? After that, are you are asking about which SSH server to use? Or client/both? Or need help with configuration?
