tonyjeffs Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 (edited) Previously when installing XP, it would report "No hard disks detected. Press any key to cancel installation", unless I installed the Raid driver from a floppy, by pressing F6 when prompted during the install.I don't understand the driver disk, just follow the windows prompts and it all works out.The floppy has several options, but four files in particular that I think are relevant, in the A:\RAID\180\winxp folder:Property.dllSisraid.catSisraid.infSisraid.sysWhen prompted by NLite, I selected Sisraid.inf, and assumed that the program would deall with the dll cat and sys files appropriately. But when I ran my slipstreamed CD, it didn't detect the hard drives. is there anything obvious I'm doing wrong? There is a similar set of 4 files in theA:\RAID\180OB\winxp but I didn't select themMy Mobo is an Asus P4800D-xThanksTony Edited March 17, 2008 by tonyjeffs

You have to take a driver folder with a file named TXTSETUP.OEM in it.2. Integrate the content of this driver folder as TEXTMODE by using nLite.3. Don't hit F6 while installing the OS.Good luck!Fernando
bledd Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 easier to use this tool mate, then use nlite to finish off the cd http://www.msfn.org/board/RAID-Slipstreame...x64-t85842.html
nuhi Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 bledd, why is that easier, and btw this is nlite forum, not nlite related tools forum.
johnhc Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 I'm glad you commented, nuhi, because I had the same question. I had looked at RAID SlipStreamer and wondered if it was necessary. I will be interested in hearing bledd's response.Thanks....John
nuhi Posted March 18, 2008 Posted March 18, 2008 Fernando gave you a solution, you need a folder with txtsetup.oem file, it will then popup a list of controllers to choose from.
bledd Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 personally now i just use that program to do the raid drivers, instead of having to download them yourself (that's what i meant by easier), it still has some missing (like nvidia ones), but it works wellno biggie
