Problem with MCE 2005 integrating patches

I have an OEM XP MCE 2005 dvd containing rollup 2 already integrated. I'm trying to integrate the rest of all the MCE patches released after rollup 2 was released, however after integrating the updates, installing th O.S. and trying to install WMP 11, it says that Rollup 2 is not installed and won't let me install WMP11.

If I try to re-install Rollup 2 it fails (most likely because it sees updates installed after rollup 2). It's a catch 22. So my problem is, how can I integrate all the updates after Rollup 2, but at the same time prevent the Rollup 2 information from disappearing so it knows it is applied so I can install wmp11?
