Enable hibernation in Winxp x64

Featured Replies

Im trying to get hibernation to work in xp x64, and with the help of google i found out that it might be a problem, with 4 gb ram or more.

here is a link to microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888575, where they post a solution to add the Maxmem=4096 in the boot.ini file, but when i do that hibernation works ok, but windows only see 2.5 gb of ram!!???

my boot.ini looks like this

[boot loader]

timeout=0

default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS

[operating systems]

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional x64 Edition" MaxMem=4096 /noexecute=optin /fastdetect

Oh nevermind it seems to adress only x86 version and not x64
