ppayun Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 (edited) when install a driver, I can choose search the whole cdrom or floppy, but I can not choose the folders on my local hard drive, like c:\dirvers, if I put all my drivers into this folder, I can not choose the folder without a inf file inside. Is there any way let the windows search the hard drive?3ks! Edited February 29, 2008 by ppayun
IcemanND Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 you can add the recursive path list to the registry devicepath value and it will search through all of the folders listed in this value. there are also utilities in the device drivers forum to install drivers after the windows installation that will search a folder structure and update all of the installed drivers as needed.topic moved to Device Drivers.
