8070002 Error, Just looking for info really

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where SP1 logs to regarding why it fails to install when a system has been vlited?

From google etc I believe it is the CBS log? Mine appears to be about 50MB so may take a while to open and search.

I didn't remove much, if anything from this system but it fails. UAC is on and I haven't set any services to disabled (probably some to manual though).

you cant install sp1 on a vlited install. Best ot use preintegrated vista sp1

Yeah I understand that is the case.

I've checked the CBS log and it seems my fail so far is because the sidebar was removed.

There is of course a reason why you can't install it and I was just looking to see why.
