kenny2929 Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Hello,I did a new light installation of my windows xp pro sp2 with nlite but during the installation, when ck key is asked, it says my cd key is invalid ??!!I used the key provided with my original cd of Xp PRO, which one i have used to create my new installation.When i do an installation with this original CD, the cd key is good :/.Someone would have an idea ?
Kelsenellenelvian Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 100's of CD keys were invalidated in XP SP1 and SP2 you most likely have one of those keys.You can call MS and explain to them (If your key is legal) that is has been blacklisted and they might issue you a new one.Or did you remove OOBE? (Will cause activation issues in non VLK versions of XP)

Dworkin Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Are you trying to install a different version of XP (i.e. different language) with the same product key? If so, that could be the reason it's failing. Otherwise, it could be a typing mistake in the product key.
