cdove Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 Heya,I have been looknig for days, including all over MSFN boards, and normally i find it, but i have yet to find anything that is of any help to me yet, about making a recovery partition. You know when you get a new PC, and it has a "Press F10 to install" recovery partition, and it loads up, and you can install windows from there i am looking to make something like this, but everything i have found has told me to use a imaging tool, suck as Ghost, or Acronis, and make a image of my computer and use Acronis to set the recovery console up, or use Ghost, and have a cd you have to use.But i would prefure to some how use a Windows XP disk that has been copied to the local HDD, that i have slipped and when you press F10 it starts the windows setup.I have tohught about useing a PXE installation method, but to be honest, i am trying to install this to a laptop, and the idea is, no matter where i am, i shall be able to recover my laptop, because it would also give me usefull tools such as the recovery console in the windows xp disk.Does anyone have any help on this, or any usefull information, it would be greatly appriciated.Thank you for any helpChris
