Recommended Posts

I am using a stripped down Vista Business to run VirtualPC 2007, but when starting the program I get the warning:

Virtual PC could not open the Virtual Machine Services driver.

and I get errors in the eventlog stating:

Log Name: System

Source: Service Control Manager

Date: 2008-02-27 13:24:08

Event ID: 7000

Task Category: None

Level: Error

Keywords: Classic

User: N/A

Computer: XXXXXXX

Description:

The Virtual Machine Network Services service failed to start due to the following error:

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

What component do I need to keep in Vista to avoid this error?

Thanks LegoLiam.

Ah, I was wondering where that information could be found (missed reading the "Please Read" thread, naturally).
