Startup menu missing displays

Hey all

I've just completed installing my nLite on my laptop. I've noticed a small problem though which has to do with the windows classic start menu. When i click on Start and the menu pops up, i can see all the programs and such but the thing that is annoying me alot is the fact right on the left hand side where the words of "Windows XP Professional" with whatever background it has is suppose to appear i got this ugly black rectangle.

Is there any way of restoring the left hand side display without having to reinstalling windows?

Also the commands like "run" arent there on my startup is there a way to make it appear there?

Thank you for your time.

add more things to your start menu, like make it show ur favourites and run:)

right click on the taskbar > properties > look for classic start menu and tick what you want adding.
