BSODs...

So after some countless hotfixes, I suddenly started to get random BSODs. I forgot to turn off the auto update once, not sure but most updates before feb 2 were downloaded and installed. I got Vista RTM (got it from my PC store, were I work).

Might it be that some minor hotfixes might be troubled cuz of the components that I have removed?

I haven't had any problems prior to vLite 1.1 beta 2. SO I assume that my OS got troubled when I accidentally removed some new components on 1.1 final, unless it may be something els. As I noted earlier, this started happening after a big update of hotfixes.

I get BSODs randomly, starting Firefox, visiting a page (as in loading it up). Starting any app, this shifts from 1-3 BSODs a day. Might it be that my HDD is dieing?

Edit: I usually only download the hotfixes that I need. Don't have IE, WMP nor OE.

Does not sound like something caused by the component removal.

If you installed some new antivirus, firewall or similar tool try uninstalling it for a few days.

Be sure that all your drivers are WHQL signed and from the manufacturer's site, updated.

Do not use beta drivers.

Could be hardware issue as well, like overheating or RAM issue.

Check in the BIOS if anything is overclocked then set it to normal/auto. Also test your memory, there are programs out there for that.
